Aftercare
Here at SweetDreamers we are committed to offering products that meet the highest safety standards. As parents ourselves we understand that your family’s safety is paramount, particularly with a young baby or toddler. With this in mind, please read our Safety and Care statement below which outlines ways to maintain your Sweet Dreamers product throughout it’s life with your family, Safety Notices and advice on how to use our products safely.
Hundreds of thousands of SweetDreamers products are sold each year globally and even though we endeavour to make sure 100% of the products are made to the highest standards, regrettably a very small percentage of units do sometimes slip through. All Sweet Dreamers products have been tested and have passed CE standards and EN71; this is extremely stringent testing and means that they are safe for babies and toddlers to use. During production, we have rigorous QC (Quality Control) procedures in place to limit the percentage of unsatisfactory products and each year our manufacturing partners work hard to improve the quality checks and production line techniques, which will ultimately improve the quality of our products entering the market. If you find the manufactured quality of your Sweet Dreamers product to be unsatisfactory, do not give the product to your baby and please contact us immediately via email: info@sweetdreamers.co.uk or phone: 02392 262332.
The Lullaby Trust safe sleep advice is simple: the safest cot is a clear cot. So please do not leave any products inside the cot with your baby unsupervised. At Sweet Dreamers we have taken this advice into consideration, for example ewan has been designed with a Velcro tail which can be used to attach him onto cot rails or moses basket handles for safe use overnight without constant supervision.
When I first open my product
When first unpacking your SweetDreamers product we would always recommend you inspect the product thoroughly before giving to your baby. Please pay close attention to any loose threads or stitching, remove any tags and all packaging components. Loose threads can normally be pulled out or carefully cut with scissors, it is also wise to brush off the body fabric if the product has excessive fluff. If these steps do not help and/or you find the manufactured quality of your Sweet Dreamers product to be unsatisfactory, do not give the product to your baby and please contact us immediately via email: info@sweetdreamers.co.uk or phone: 02392 262332.
Throughout the life of the product
We would always recommend that you check the quality of your SweetDreamers product throughout the time your baby is using it. Our top tip is to check each time you change ewan’s batteries. Please pay close attention to any loose threads or stitching, defective Velcro and any holes which may appear in the lining inside ewan’s pocket (where the battery control pod is housed). Loose threads can normally be pulled out or carefully cut with scissors, it is also wise to brush off the body fabric if the product has excessive fluff. Please also check inside the battery compartment. Remember to sporadically check the Velcro too, to make sure it is still sticking and holding together properly.
Washing our products

Batteries
SweetDreamers cannot be held responsible for the quality of batteries used within our products, as these will have been supplied by a third party. We would always recommend the use of brand new high quality batteries to achieve the safest performance and battery life. We highly recommend using rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries (1.2-1.5V max) but if this is not possible we would recommend high quality Alkaline batteries (1.2-1.5V max) for use in our products. Do not mixed brands of batteries and always use brand new or recently charged batteries when replacing them inside the product. Should you find the batteries are corroded, discoloured or warm on inspection please stop using the product and please contact us immediately via email: info@sweetdreamers.co.uk or phone: 02392 262332.
When I’m finished with the product
So you’re finished with your product, please don’t just throw it away. Perhaps you could store it away for another baby 😉 or donate it to a pregnant friend or local charity. Please remove all batteries before storing our products – we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by batteries when left unused for a long period of time inside our products.
If you find any defects with your Sweet Dreamers product at any time, do not give the product to your baby and please contact us immediately via email: info@sweetdreamers.co.uk or phone: 02392 262332.
