A follower asked:
"How old should your baby be before they sleep through?"
Now this can be affected by a number of factors; wether your baby is hungry, hot, cold, teething. Now all of these things can have an impact on your babies sleep routine. Of course we need to define what is sleeping through?.. For me being able to skip that feed in the middle of the night to the early hours of the morning and sleeping between 6 to 8 hours, I would define as 'sleeping through' of course everyone could interpret this differently.
A newborn baby's sleep routine is dictated by their feeding patterns. In general they will wake every three to four hours for a feed. As your baby grows to around 3 to six months, in general they should be sleeping for longer periods of time, and require less feeds during the day because their tummies are fuller. This means of course that you could time it to get those extra hours of sleep at night. Just remember every baby is different. All of mine slept through at different stages of their development, please try to remember to stick to your routines, keep plugging away and you'll get there in the end.
