Hello guys, i'm going to show you tried and testing technique now, one of my top tips on how to put your baby down to sleep so that they stay sleep. Now i've tried this technique and used it with all of my babies, so here we go:
Firstly you need to free up that arm behind your baby's back, so position one hand on your babies bottom and the other on the back of their head. It's really important that you keep your baby really close to your body and you lean all the way over into the crib, before laying them gently onto the mattress. This helps to suppress the Moro reflex, that feeling of falling, which you can also do by making sure you lay your baby into the crib by placing their feet, bum, back and then their head down onto the mattress moving you hand round from behind your baby's bottom, round onto their chest whilst cradling the head with your other hand. This forms a comfort hold, you can then slowly move your hand away from your baby's head, whilst leaving your other hand gently resting on their chest. Leave your hand gently resting on their chest like this for as long as it take them to settle, then slowly move your hand away.
