Are you struggling with a routine for your 3 month old baby?
Here are some suggestions for a daily routine that you may want to try and follow. In this example we're going to say your baby wakes at 06:30:
06:30 - wake up, sort out nappy, give them a feed
08:00 - ready for another nap (1.5 hour wake window)
Look out for sleep cues to give you an indication of when your little one is ready for a nap - you may want to put them down a little bit later, or earlier.
09:00 - baby is awake again, sort out nappy, give them another feed.
09:30 - take them out for some fresh air, go out for an hour or so
10:30 - baby will be ready for another nap. (again a 1.5 hour wake window) This nap will be substantially longer (2hours)
12:30 - baby is awake again, sort out nappy, give them another feed.
13:00 - an hour of play. Lots of activities, tummy time, lots of stimulating.
14:00 - another nap. (again a 1.5 hour wake window)
15:30 - baby is awake again, sort out nappy, give them another feed.
17:00 - maybe a very short nap - bear in mind this is the witching hour, and a lot of babies get grizzly at this time.
17:30 - do an activity
18:00 - wind down to bed, start the bed time routine. Bath, Baby Massage...
18:30 - feed baby followed by a bed time story.
19:00 - put your baby down to bed.
22:00 - (optional) Dream feed. - A good way to try and extend those sleeping hours.
Your little one still is only three months old and they wake in the maybe once maybe twice and that's completely normal for this to happen. Hope this has helped.
